It almost seems like a joke by now.  If you've read our blog lately...you know that Sears has been putting off fixing our washing machine since the beginning of the year.  After countless attempts, under the warranty that we purchased last year...we were told that today (again) was the day it would be repaired.  mmmmmmmm hmmm.
A technician had been here a couple of times already, saying that he couldn't fix it because he had to order more parts.  The last time he was here, he left our machine like this...
That's how it's been sitting ever since.  The thing is...when you have four young kids, they see all of this as "Robot Parts".  Who would have thought in a million years to put a lock on a laundry room door?  It sure would have come in handy though.
Needless to say, we have been waiting anxiously for the Sears guy to come today, so he could put things back together and fix the machine.
He came, said the wrong part was ordered - again - aaaaaand left.  The washer still looks the same and now we have a new big box sitting in the front of our house with a part that has to be taken back because it isn't the right fit.
     Yes...more robot parts.
We were told that within 24 to 48 hours we should expect a call and go from there.  I think we're just beyond anything at this point though.  It's time we just give up and go somewhere else to get a machine.  It's beyond time.
I've said before and strongly believe that there are much worse things we could be dealing with than this, but it sure is frustrating nonetheless.  I guess the one good thing about it is that the kids will end up having one very cool robot.  Maybe if we name him "Home Depot" or "Lowes", he'll actually WORK too.

Mr. Devol...we keep thinking that there's no way it can go through ANOTHER week. They keep surprising us. It's unbelievable at this point.

I feel your pain! In all seriousness you made it a lot longer than I ever would. I would do two things. Write up everything you have gone through with sears, demand a full refund or an entirely new WORKING washer, and if they won't, turn them into the better business burrow. And go buy a washer someplace else. Best of Luck!

A full refund is a good idea. It would be nice if they just took all of their parts back, gave us the money in return so we could go somewhere else and start all over. I'll ask tomorrow, but I'll bet you ten dollars I know what they're going to say. grrrrrrr

Thank You Teresa!!! You're the Best! We're going to HAVE to do something at this point. It's just beyond reason. If I had any faith that they would fix it, that would be one thing. They just keep giving us such a runaround though. They won't fix it and they won't replace it. They won't give us our money back...for the machine OR the warranty we bought. It's insane.

This shows the ridiculousness of Sears. So lacking in real common sense. A dog chasing its tail gets nowhere. Sears is doing exactly that (and also ruining their reputation with the rest of the world watching at the same time). I wish FOX News would get a hold of this and do something with it. You are truly showing patience is a virtue. I would have been at the end of my rope long, long ago. At this point you just need to get a new machine from elsewhere AND take everything you have of the broken one to a scrap metal yard or metal recycling yard. You will be surprised how much money they will give you for that junk heap of a machine. Love your blog and all of you loads (pardon the pun). Kisses and hugs to all of you.
